Happiness is an overflowing wood store at the end of August.
Currently listening to … Status Quo was the first band I saw many decades ago and I’m still listening and enjoying them after all this time, despite there only being Francis Rossi left of the original “Frantic Four.”
This is the new release of a live concert from 2010, with Rick Parfitt. 🎶
Today’s dog walk was a 5-mile circular route from East Prawle, which is the southern most village in Devon. We enjoyed sea views for most of the walk, made even better when the sun finally broke through the clouds.

It was the Aveton Gifford Village Show on Saturday. I was lucky enough to get a couple of second and third places. 🌱
Currently listening to the four singles taken from the new album, Carolyn’s Boy from Darius Rucker planned for 6th October. I looking forward to listing to the rest of the album.
“I wanted to name the record Carolyn’s Boy because Mom never got to see any of my success,” Rucker offered in the interview. “She died before any of this happened, so it’s just another homage to the greatest woman I’ve ever known.” When asked why he wanted to put this album out now, Rucker shared, “Years ago, I wasn’t really sure what my place in country music was and I was trying to find it. Now I have found it—I know—and I think it’s time to give that record.” 🎶
Our monthly electricity direct debit went from £70 to £251 in March. Our supplier, E.ON, announced they’d made £3.47 billion profit for the first 6 months of 2023. There’s something wrong with how we manage our utilities in the UK. Read more

I was out with the dog before 6 AM today and was rewarded with lovely early-morning views over the Devon countryside. These are the first photos taken with my new iPhone 14 Pro.

Evening walk to Hope Cove 📷
First time on the estuary in our new (to us) kayak. Almost didn’t get back because the tide was on its way out. No one wants to do the walk of shame, dragging the boat through the mud!
